For those into the high and wild, Everest Base Camp is one area you want to get into. It’s a wonderful feeling to hike paths tread by great legends who wrote Nepal’s mountain history in blood, sweat and tears, with some who even died making the attempt. We can avoid congested trails to base camp, and visit the quiet turquoise lakes of the Gokyo Valley, without losing trace of the magnificence of Everest that stands protectively above. We also have options of climbing Gokyo Ri and Island peak for some heart stopping views of Everest and surrounding peaks. From the shorter Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek and Everest Trek to the all encompassing Everest High Passes, this region is best experienced in the early months of autumn and spring.
